SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Mark Walker (D-Arlington Heights) issued the following statement regarding Governor JB Pritzker’s proposed state budget for the upcoming fiscal year:

“The governor has a proven history of carefully managing the fiscal health of the state and balancing the needs of its people. This year’s proposal takes into account the funding cuts from the federal government, while supporting families and addressing increased cost of essentials.

“As a state, Illinois manages our resources better than the current federal administration. In the coming months, I look forward to working with my colleagues to finalize a budget that prioritizes the needs of Illinois families.”
