Walker, State Senator, District 27.SPRINGFIELD — State Senator Mark Walker was sworn in Wednesday as the Illinois Senate began the 104th General Assembly.

“There is much work ahead to bring us all together, build on our state’s economic potential and ensure fiscal stability through balanced budgets,” said Walker (D-Arlington Heights). “I look forward to tackling these challenges and continuing to represent my community in Springfield.”

Walker joined the Senate in May 2024 after serving in the Illinois House for more than four years. He has focused on small business reforms and legislation improving and expanding Illinois’ diverse and innovative economy

As senator for the 27th District, Walker represents a portion of the Northwest Suburbs, including Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights and Rolling Meadows.
